ABOUT GLP-1 WEIGHT LOSS

Semaglutide is administered as a simple once-weekly injection just under the skin, typically in the abdomen. Your dosage starts low and is gradually increased over several weeks to minimize side effects and find the level that works best for your body.

Most patients begin to notice changes within the first month as their dose is adjusted. Over time, you'll experience reduced cravings, smaller portions feeling more satisfying, and a shift in your relationship with food that many patients describe as life-changing.

"The biggest thing I hear from patients is 'I'm not thinking about food all day anymore.' That mental freedom is often more meaningful to people than the number on the scale."

  — Lyndsay Hoffman, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

How it Works

Your first visit: A one-on-one consultation where Lyndsay reviews your medical history, current medications, BMI, and weight loss goals. This is a real medical evaluation — not a sales pitch. If GLP-1 isn't right for you, she'll let you know.

Getting started: If you're a good candidate, you'll receive your first injection at a low starting dose. Lyndsay will walk you through how to self-administer future injections at home and what to expect in the first few weeks.

Ongoing care: Your dose is gradually increased based on how your body responds. Regular check-ins ensure your treatment stays on track, side effects are managed, and your progress is moving in the right direction.

Timeline: Most patients begin to see measurable weight loss within the first 4-6 weeks as their dose is optimized. Meaningful results typically develop over 3-6 months of consistent treatment.

"I tell every patient the same thing — this medication is a tool, not a miracle. It makes the work of losing weight significantly easier, but you still have to show up for yourself. The patients who do best are the ones who pair the medication with even small lifestyle changes."

  — Lyndsay Hoffman, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

What to Expect

GLP-1 are ideal for individuals with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or greater or for adults with a BMI of 27 who also have at least one weight-related complication such as hypertension, insulin resistance, high cholesterol, or heart disease. However, it’s not suitable for everyone. People with the following conditions should avoid GLP-1

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women

  • Individuals with a history of pancreatitis

  • Those with Type-1 diabetes

  • Individuals with Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2

  • Those with a history of thyroid cancer

Always consult a medical professional before starting GLP-1 to ensure it’s the right fit for you.

Who is a Good Candidate?

What Makes LTH Beauty Different?

Many med spas have added GLP-1 to their menu as a trending service. At LTH Beauty, weight loss isn't an add-on — it's something Lyndsay has dedicated a significant part of her clinical career to. Before opening LTH Beauty, Lyndsay spent over a year working exclusively in a weight-loss clinic, managing hundreds of patients on GLP-1 therapy. That focused experience means she's seen how different bodies respond, how to adjust dosing to manage side effects, when to push forward, and when to pause.

"In the weight loss clinic, I saw patients every week. I learned what works and what doesn't — not from a textbook, but from real people with real lives trying to make this work alongside everything else. That experience shapes how I treat every patient here."

— Lyndsay Hoffman, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

What this means for you:

  • Dosing that's actually personalized — not a one-size-fits-all protocol. Your dose adjustments are based on how your body is responding, not just a calendar.

  • Side effect management from day one — Lyndsay has managed the full range of GLP-1 side effects across hundreds of patients and knows how to minimize them.

  • Honest guidance — if GLP-1 isn't the right fit for you, she'll tell you. Not every patient is a good candidate, and that's an important conversation to have before you start.

  • A provider who stays involved — this isn't a "prescribe and disappear" program. You'll have regular check-ins and ongoing support throughout your treatment.

FAQs

About Our Medication

The semaglutide used in our weight loss program is a compounded medication prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy. Compounded semaglutide is not FDA-approved. The FDA does not evaluate compounded medications for safety, efficacy, or manufacturing quality in the same way it does commercially manufactured drugs like Wegovy® or Ozempic®.

We use compounded semaglutide to provide a more accessible and affordable option for patients who may not have insurance coverage for brand-name medications.

If you have questions about the source of our medication or would prefer a brand-name prescription, please discuss this with Lyndsay during your consultation.
